Barcelona and Argentina forward, Lionel Messi, has agreed to a new five-year deal to stay on at the Nou Camp.
Reports from Spain say the deal contains a whopping £350m release clause.
Messi had reportedly been having second thoughts over whether or not to renew his contract with Barca and was taking time to think over his decision.
The deal comes as a huge relief for the Blaugranas, who had run the risk of losing Messi for nothing once his current deal expires in 2018.
According to UK’s The Sun, Messi’s new pay packet will vary from year to year based on numerous factors. But it is believed he could leapfrog Chinese exports to become the world’s highest paid player, taking home in the region of £800k-a-week.
