Protesters Attacked Senators in Ibadan

                                                                                            Babafemi Ojudu

Four Senators were attacked today in Ibadan as they ran into some 10,000 protesters in
the Oyo State capital.
The Senators, including Babafemi Ojudu and Oluremi Tinubu, were on their way
to Abuja by road when they ran into the rampaging youths who stopped them and
vandalized their cars. As the rallies entered the 3rd day, all flights remained grounded.
In the absence of rail travel, going by road was the only option for the Senators, (who
were traveling from Lagos.)
Mr. Ojudu, a former journalist, said he had never seen such an
angry crowd in his life, as they refused to listen to entreaties from them despite their
introductions.
He said that Nigeria was experiencing a revolution and that if nothing was done,
something “drastic” could happen.
