Suspected members of the dreaded Islamic Sect, Boko Haram have stormed the town of Dabiro in Biu local government Area of Borno state, killing twenty-six persons. Yakubu Dabiro, the son of the district head of the village confirmed the incident.
It would be the third time, Dabiro, the home town of the newly promoted commander of the Multi-Natioanl Joint Task Force, Major General Bata Dabiro would be attacked by members of the Boko Haram.Our correspondent gathered that, when the militant arrived the town last night, they shot and killed 17 people while injuring many others. They allegedly returned to the area after they heard that community members were burying their relations. More people were killed in the second attack.
One Usman Malgana, who spoke with our correspondent from the General Hospital in Biu confirmed that they lost 26 people while 20 are currently receiving treatment at the hospital, with doctors battling to save their lives.
