The minister of works, Mike Onolememen has said that the Edo state governor, Adams Oshiomhole, who had accused him of using armed policemen to intimidate voters in weekend’s local government election, talks faster than he reasons. The Minister told Channels Television in Abuja that he could not have intimidated voters in his local government where election did not take place because of lack of electoral materials for the election. He said he was at a polling station in his ward with his security details who are plain clothes operatives and other aides but was told that there were insufficient electoral materials and therefore voting could not hold. He said as a minister, he was entitled to some level of protection by security operatives just like Mr. Oshiomhole.
