The founder of popular social networking site Facebook, Mr Mark Zuckerberg, is scheduled to visit Nigeria in May this year.
Mr Zuckerberg is scheduled to be in Akwa Ibom State as one of the guest speakers at a youth economic summit organised by the Niger Delta Young Professionals.
The summit is to take place between May 28 and 29 in Uyo.
The Chairman of the summit, Mr Moses Siasia, made this known on Thursday, when he visited the state governor, Chief Godswill Akpabio, at the Governor’s Office in Uyo.
Siasia, who is currently attending a two-day retreat in the state, used the occasion to invite Akpabio as a special guest of honour to the summit billed for Uyo, the state capital.
According to him, the summit is the coming together of young professionals in the Niger Delta to promote entrepreneurship, looking at economic challenges in the states and creating employment for the youths.
He explained further that the Niger Delta Young Professionals is made up of young professionals from different backgrounds, tribes and states coming together to tackle the challenges and bring about the desired change in the Niger Delta states.
The 28-year-old American computer programmer and Internet entrepreneur is best known as one of five co-founders of the social networking site Facebook. Zuckerberg is the chairman and chief executive of Facebook, Zuckerberg’s personal wealth is estimated to be $9.4 billion as of 2012.
