Let the fear of God guide you on July 14---Idumonza tells Edo voters

Idumonza Isidahomhen, the candidate on the platform of Hope Democratic Party, HDP, for the July 14 governorship election in Edo State has told the people of the State to allow the fear of God guide their conscience when casting their votes during the election.

He stated this as part of his Easter goodwill message to Nigerians in general and Edo people in particular.
He maintains that unless this is done, the past mistakes of electing wrong leaders into governorship office in the State would be repeated, adding that this period which symbolises the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ is the most auspicious to take a position and align with HDP in view of  the successive  failures of governance in the State since the rebirth of democracy in 1999.
He advised the good people of the state to resist  and   reject the attempt by the present administration to remain in office after four years in view of its  inability to deploy transformational ideas into the critical sectors for economic rejuvenation.
Idumonza particularly lamented the recent death of promising students of Ekpoma University who got drown in search of water.
"The death of those students was as a result of failed governance. We were told that water has been provided and commissioned in Ekpoma with much fanfare, yet students got drown in a well in search of water. This is part of the deceit we have always talked about. What is happening in that institution at the moment contrasts with the vision of Alli. The deceit has run full circle and it must  stop on July 14" he says.
He maintains that HDP remains committed to industrializing the State when voted into office saying "we have perfected all arrangements to commence the industrialization of the State as soon as we take over office. There is no other way to liberate Edo from the present backwardness other than promoting commercial activities to productive level. At the moment, nobody goes to Edo to look for job. Is it an impossibility? No, it is very possible only when the right idea is deployed with sincerity.  In the past., job seekers would besiege Benin and other towns in the State for jobs.  But not any longer because present and past PDP government failed to do the needful. No security and no robust implementable plans for food sufficiency. The sole objective of the dualisation of airport road which has been stuck is to get it named after him"
He  thanked all HDP supporters all over the world for their steadfastness over the years and urged others to join the party, assuring that HDP, under Idumonza,  has the solutions to the socio-economic crises  bedeviling  the State.
