Malaysia warns women against Nigerian boyfriends

Dawos, who is Mambong parliament member, said two Bidayuh women unwittingly became drug mules for their Nigerian boyfriends. Both were arrested in Australia. One of them is from Kampung Seratau and another from Kampung Annah Rais, both within Mambong constituency.

A high court in Lagos has rendered the first marriage of star actress Stephanie Okereke to footballer Chikelue Iloanusi, null and void. The judge told the actress who had gone to court to divorce Chikelu, that the marriage never existed, so she can't seek a divorce, only an annulment. According to the judge, the marriage between Stephanie and Chikelue wasn't valid because at the time they got married, Chikelu was legally married to another woman in the US.

Stephanie and Chikelue had a secret registry wedding some years back but they broke up less than a year later. Now going from the court's judgement, Stephanie is not Chikelue's ex-wife, she was never legally married to him. So when she marries Linus Idahosa, it will be her first legal marriage.

He said: "There is always what you call the struggle for self determination and is quite easy for people to come out with. This same country we fought the war for almost three years for the purposes of living together. I carry a bullet in my lap, so nobody will talk to me about secession or breaking away. If you do, I will call a tailor, take my measurement, get back in tokhaki to go and fight even at age 71."

They are all governors elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party.

AN Ogwashi-Uku High Court in Delta State has convicted a couple for killing their only son with a gun as a result of scuffle between them.

Prosecution had told the court that one Mr. Monday Ugwu, a vigilante member at Ogwashi -Uku returned home on the 8th of April 2007 at about 6.30am from his beat to confront his pregnant wife over the whereabouts of a wheelbarrow he borrowed the previous day.

A police sweep in Nigeria's northern city of Kano has led to the recovery of more than 100 bombs since co-ordinated attacks after Friday prayers killed at least 166 people there, police said Monday.

"So far we have discovered over a 100 home-made bombs in the operation we have launched in bomb recovery in different parts of the city," said a senior police official on condition of anonymity.
