The security agents, working on a tip-off, cordoned the area and, in an ensuing shootout, killed a member of the sect and left several others injured.
The Brigade Commander, Brigadier-General John Nwaoga; state Commissioner of Police, Godfrey Okeke and the Director of State Security Service (SSS) told newsmen that the hideout served as arms factory, as well as headquarters of the sect.
Some of the items recovered from the hideout were machine gun, nine AK-47, 19 magazines, dane guns, cutlasses, bullets and about 1,000 knives.
Meanwhile, a 24-hour curfew has been imposed on Mubi North Local Government Area, following incessant killing of innocent people.
