She made a statement in a sequinned dress emblazoned with the words 'you will never own me' at the VMAs this summer.
And Mel B was toting another dramatic message when she shared a lengthy Instagram post with her one million followers on Saturday about the importance of 'knowing your worth' and not wasting time 'finding someone who will want you'.
The former Spice Girl, 42, shared a photo of the words 'never settle' with a 287-word essay to advise 'every girl/woman out there' - perhaps in response to the bitter divorce case she is currently embroiled in with Stephen Belafonte. Mel's candid spiel began: 'I now no [sic] better late than never that there is sooo much more to life than finding someone who will want you, or being sad over someone who doesn't want you. Know your worth and never settle for less than you deserve.'
The inspiring post comes after Mel's mother revealed she did not fall out with her famous daughter – despite the pair not seeing each other for 10 years.
Andrea Brown, 60, claims she always cared for the Spice Girl, and insisted the star's estranged husband Stephen was behind their loss of contact, as she alleged he cut her off from all her family.
