Reporters has confirmed that the spokesperson for the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation and former NTA presenter, Livi Ajuonuma, is among those who were aboard the ill-fated MD 83 airliner that crashed in the Lagos suburb earlier today.
Also reported to have been aboard was Amina Bugaje; son of late Chief of General Staff under Ibrahim Babangida, Ehime Aikhomu; and a businessman, Alhaji Ibrahim Damcida, from Biu.
The plane crashed in a Lagos suburb. Eyewitnesses said it struck an electric pole before crashing into a two-story building in Iju area of Lagos, killing all passengers on board.
President Jonathan has declared three days of mourning for those who lost their lives. He also asked that the Nigerian flag be flown at half mast for the three days
