FBI Director Wray says Kavanaugh background investigation was ‘limited in scope’

When asked by Sen. Kamala Harris, FBI Director Christopher Wray tells a Senate committee that the background investigation into sexual assault claims against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh was “limited in scope” as directed by the White House, but that limit was “consistent with the standard process for such investigations.”
