A new fitness initiative has set out to squash spending big money on expensive gym memberships and costly one-on-one training.
Personal trainer Ali Cavill has teamed up with global technology experts TomTom to create a fitness plan that is accessible, low-cost and effective, which can be easily monitored along the way to track progress.
The routines incorporated into a series of fitness infographics illustrate a number of exercises that can be done from the home and are simple to include into daily life.
As a holistic health expert and trainer Cavill said she believes in the the mind and body working together towards the physical aspects of getting healthy and fit.
'I think that getting fit should be accessible and available to everyone regardless of your income or your family circumstances,' she told Daily Mail Australia.
In order to stay motivated against a busy lifestyle she said a fitness tracker is the ideal tool to manage advancement and any increases in ability.
'You really need to be able to see results and experience results to feel that sense of achievement,' she said.
'People can set their own individual fitness goals and follow along as they work to achieve them.'
The four week program uses different weekly workout ideas with a separate money-saving tactic including using a household item as gym equipment and taking advantage of an outdoor environment.
In the first week users are recommended to buy a fitness tracker to help manage their results before embarking on the no-cost workout plan.
Winnie Kwan, Senior Marketing Manager for TomTom said the initiative derived from the knowledge of how difficult it is for people to stick to a fitness routine.
Using a fitness tracker is the ideal tool to assist people who are at the beginning of their journey, she said.
'They provide real time accurate information, and personal motivational messages to help keep you going,' she said.
Cavill said putting health and fitness to the top of priorities is the number one strategy to being at the top of our game.
'The best way to be our best selves is taking charge of our fitness.' she said.
