Nollywood actress, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, has been appointed an ambassador by the Amnesty international. The human rights group is reputed as the world's most popular.
On its website, the group describes the star actress as “a leading Nigerian 'Nollywood' actress and singer, with a huge fan base across Africa and the Caribbean. Omotola launched Amnesty International's maternal mortality campaign in Sierra Leone and supports our campaign for freedom of expression.”
She joins other world celebrities such as American actress, Patricia Clarkson, British actor, Jeremy Irons, Jefferson Hack, Patrick Stewart and Alice Eve as AI's ambassadors.
