Sheep Gives Birth To Deformed Lamb That Looks Like Human (Photos)

 

Photos of a severely deformed lamb which has gone viral on social media have been confirmed to be real and not a humorous or malicious deception by the Eastern Cape Department of Rural Development and Agrarian Reform, South Africa.

The authenticity of the pictures was confirmed revealing that it was of a deformed stillborn lamb which was born in the Lady Frere area.The department’s Chief Director of Veterinary Services, Dr Lubabalo Mrwebi, said it was not uncommon for pregnant animals to be infected by viruses early in their pregnancy.

He said it was “fair to assume” the animal was infected by the RFV virus and added that the department’s officials were “enlightening” livestock farmers about the incident.
