First daughter of a former head of state and national leader of Congress for progressive change (CPC) Gen. Muhammad Buhari (rtd), Zulai Buhari is dead. The late Zulai passed away on Thursday evening in a hospital in Kaduna just two days after giving birth to a daughter. She was 40. She is survived by her husband, Captain Mahmud Junaid and three children, including the new born baby who is said to be healthy and doing well.
Since the news hit the air, several condolences have been pouring in for her father and the entire bereaved family.
The former Federal Capital Territory Minister, Nasir El-rufai, prayed God to grant her soul eternal rest and give the immediate family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss. He said, “May the soul of Zulaihatu, the eldest daughter of General Muhammadu Buhari, rest in perfect peace.” Also, the Spokesman CPC, Rotimi Fashakin described Zulai’s death as sad and shocking.
