"Not wanting to join issues with the PDP, who had ruled Edo State for nine years without significant progress, we are at a loss as to how such a character as Gen. Charles Airhiavbere emerged as its gubernatorial candidate," the statement said.
The angry students said they doubt if the PDP candidate has any of his children schooling in Nigeria, let alone in Edo State, hence his negative perception of Nigerian universities, of which AAU is a forerunner, which has "produced the best law graduates and medical students in Nigeria".
