New Police Uniform

ABUJA — In its determination to curb the menace of hoodlums and undesirable members of the society sewing and using fake police uniforms to perpetrate robbery and other societal crimes in the country, the Nigeria Police Force,  yesterday, commenced the test run of a new Police operational uniform (Police camouflage) for its officers and men. 
The test-run of the new camouflage, which has got the approval of President Goodluck Jonathan, is also expected to boost the image of Police officers as well as discourage them from developing cold feet any time they came face to face with  robbers. 
“The IGP stated that the new dress is in line with the transformation agenda of the Federal Government and the long desire of the Police management team to reform and to launder an acceptable image for the police through the turn-out of its officers and men. 
“The Police boss is using this medium to call on the general public to come up with constructive criticisms regarding the new police camouflage, so that public opinion will be given adequate consideration.”
