Nick Gordon, the boyfriend of Bobbi Kristina Brown, is pleading with Brown’s family to be permitted to attend her funeral service, People reported.

Gordon, who was banned from seeing Brown while she clung to her life for months after being found face-down and unresponsive in her bathtub on Jan. 31, sent an email Thursday to her father, Bobby Brown, and aunt, Pat Houston, saying that he’s “begging” them to attend the service.

“I loved Krissi with all my heart and I am destroyed that she is gone and I need to say goodbye,” Brown wrote in the email obtained by People. “I’m begging you both to please put your differences aside and allow me this chance. Saraki, Ekweremadu get senate ‘confidence vote’

The senate on Tuesday passed a vote of confidence on its leadership, amid ongoing crisis over allegations that rules were forged to elect the senate president and his deputy. In a motion‎ signed by 81 senators and moved by Nnaemeka Anyanwu (Imo East), the senate reaffirmed its endorsement of Bukola Saraki as senate president and Ike Ekweremadu as deputy senate president as well as the principal officers. The principal officers are Ali Ndume (majority leader), Bala Na’Allah (deputy leader), Olusola Adeyeye (chief whip) and Francis Alimikhena (deputy chief whip). Nigeria's president plans to split state oil company into two entities

ABUJA (Reuters) - Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari plans to split the state-owned Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) into two entities, his spokesman said on Saturday.

Buhari, elected in March on promises to combat corruption, has made clear he wants to overhaul the oil sector in Africa's biggest economy, which provides the government with around 70 percent of its revenue.

He has said his government will trace and recover what he called "mind-boggling" sums of money stolen from the oil sector.

Police Confirms Senate “Standing Order” Used To Elect Saraki And Ekweremadu Was Forged

The Nigeria Police have concluded their probe into the forgery of the Senate Standing Order and given a copy of the report to President Muhammadu Buhari, SUNDAY PUNCH reports.

15 people were killed with 47 others severely injured when a female suicide bomber detonated an Improvised Explosive Devices at Damaturu Sunday market on Sunday morning.

The incident took place at about 9:30am Sunday when the market was about to reach its peak.

The market usually attracts many buyers and sellers as it is the only main market in the town.

Unconfirmed report indicated that the explosion was caused by a suspected female suicide bomber who was between the ages of 19 or 20.
