Nollywood “bad boy” James Ikechukwu, popularly known as Jim Iyke fought his long time Jamaican model girlfriend Keturah Hamilton in public following allegations of flirting with other girls.
Jim Iyke who is no stranger to controversy was filmed in a public verbal fight with the model who accussed him of ignoring her and flirting with other girls. This was part of last week Jim Iyke Unscripted reality televison series.
Taraba Speaker and his Deputy impeached
The Speaker, Taraba State House of Assembly, Istifanus Gbana and his Deputy, Abel Diah were on Monday impeached over alleged financial misappropriation.
The Majority leader, Charles Maijankai was also impeached for the same offence.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the impeachment was conveyed by Kizito Bonzena, a member representing Zing constituency, saying that 17 out of the 24 members were present on the floor of the House.
NIGERIA: 185 Killed, 2000 Houses Razed In Borno Town As Soldiers And Boko Haram Fight
At least 185 persons including women and children were reported to have been killed by either gunshots or fire after suspected Boko Haram gunmen engaged soldiers of the Joint Task Force in a deadly shootout that left the commercial border town of Baga in Borno State completely burnt down.
Local government officials, who spoke to PREMIUM TIMES, said 185 persons died, at least 2000 houses, 64 motorcycles and 40 cars were burnt in the wake of the attack.

The ninth edition of the Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA), Nigeria’s premium reward platform in film and cinema, took place yesterday at Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State capital.
Artistes that performed at the event include P-Square, Flavour Nabania, Waje and Timi Dakolo.
The awards, of which winners are determined by a jury has an edge over other reward systems in Africa, because of the diversity in the panel, with members comprising seasoned film journalists, veterans in cinematography, experts in acting and production from the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, South Africa and Nigeria.
Today, the AMAA train has moved across over 40 African countries, and nations like the US, Trinidad & Tobacco, the UK, Canada and Jamaica. The wide acceptance of the brand across the globe testifies to its unprecedented number of entries recorded this year. Over 671 entries have been received for this edition.
In this edition, AMAA has redefined standard within the industry, not only among the award portfolio but for filmmakers who make specific films and movies for AMAA. According to Chico Ejiro, a famous movie producer,
AMAA has succeeded in driving consciousness into movie makers who hitherto believed that profit in terms of finance was the only thing that matters in the industry.

Deadly explosion at Texas fertilizer plant kills 15, over 160 injured
A massive explosion has rocked a fertilizer plant near Waco, Texas. Dozens are feared dead and more than 160 were injured in the disaster. Rescuers have to deal with toxic fumes contaminating the neighborhood.
The explosion occurred Wednesday around 7:50pm local time [00:50 GMT Thursday] in the town of West, north of Waco. A fireball of nearly 30 meters high has been reported along with a massive power outage.

A Saudi man started his car in the morning and moved back out of the house before heading for work, unaware that he had just run over his 18-month-old son.
The father in the southern Saudi province of Jazan went to his office as normal before getting a phone call from his wife saying he had killed his son.
